EVENT TIME: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Havener Center, 2nd Floor, St. Pats Ballroom
Created in 2001 by S&T's Women's Program, NTN is a collaboration of the Student Diversity, Outreach, and Women's Programs, Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and Career Opportunities & Employer Relations.
This event originated in a corporate advisory board meeting as a "mentoring" concept for Missouri S&T women students to informally interact with alumni and corporate professionals. However, recognizing the similar interests of other minority groups, the event was marketed to all underrepresented student groups. Activities for NTN are coordinated by the student leaders in the women engineering and minority engineering professional societies. This program has grown in popularity with Missouri S&T employers and has taken the shape of a social event held the night before each Missouri S&T career fair. Approximately 100 employers and 250 students attend biannually, cultivating friendships, sponsorships, and career networking.
