Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day
Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day will be held on (EVENT CANCELLED) . IGED is sponsored by Society of Women Engineers, Missouri S&T Student Diversity, Outreach and Women's Programs, also a special thank you to Duane and Lisa Highley for their sponsorship and generous donation.
Students and their parents or guardians are invited to Missouri S&T for a day of fun. IGED gives 4th - 8th grade elementary and middle school students a chance to:
- have fun exploring engineering through hands-on engineering activities and explore engaging demonstrations hosted by volunteers, student organizations, corporate partners and community organizations
- interact with students, faculty and engineers from industry

You can check in anytime between 9:00 am - 10:00 am in the atrium of the Havener Center. Lunch is on your own and will be available from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm. All sessions will conclude at 3:00 pm.

The economic expansion in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) will continue to grow in the future. Across the board in these fields, women are underrepresented.
Change that! Register your 4th through 8th grade girl for these free workshops that introduces them to the fascinating world of engineering and opportunity.
Each girl must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. Each girl receives a free backpack and lunch for participating. Adults will be able to purchase meals at one of many locations available in the Havener Center.
